Rental items

Rentals have their own area in the Bookique menu with two entries: Rental items are the objects with stock and times, Rentals are what customers book, with price and rental period (see Rentals). Both appear when the area “Rentals & stays” is on; hidden areas are switched on under More features on the home page.

Add a rental item

1. 1Open Rental items and click Add rental item.
2. 2Enter name, Short description and Calendar color and add a picture.
3. 3Enter Stock (units) – this many units can be rented at the same time.
4. 4Leave Rentable on. Inactive items do not appear in the store.

Times

• Pickup and return times – when pickup and return are possible. Closed days may lie inside a rental. Without own times the item takes the Business hours from Settings.
• Not available – block times for maintenance or repair; no rentals are possible then.
• Calendar sync – share the busy times or import them from Airbnb, Booking.com or Google (see Calendar sync).

Rentals of the item

Under Rentals on the item page you see which rentals book this item, and add it to more with Add rental. An item that is in no rental shows Not bookable yet: only a rental with price and rental period makes it bookable and gives it a Shopify product. Create rental opens a new rental with this item already chosen. The list of rental items shows each item's rentals and their Shopify products.
